Joanna Oda, B.Arts Sc. (Honours)
Joanna grew up in Dundas, Ontario and is currently studying at the University of Ottawa in the class of 2009. Prior to medical school, Joanna completed a Bachelor of Arts and Science (Honours) at McMaster University.
Greatly influenced by her experience as an "artsci" student, Joanna has been involved with several social justice organizations including the Sexual Assault Centre (Hamilton & Area), the Ottawa Rape Crisis Centre, McMaster's Student Health Education Centre and Frontier College. In 2003, she received one of the first In-class Millennium Scholarships.
Having grown up with stories of Tommy Douglas, Medicare and fighting for what you believe, Joanna is deeply honoured and humbled to join the Board of CDM.
