Health Ministers meeting in Halifax

Canadian Doctors for Medicare was hard at work last week as our nation’s health ministers gathered in Halifax. CDM was on the ground with its partners, calling for a strong, accountable Health Accord in 2014. We teamed up with the Council of Canadians, the Canada Health Coalition and others to bring our message to the Ministers – we need an Accord that respects and enforces the Canada Health Act, recognizes the negative effects of privatization, and supports an equitable health care system.

We were also taking on supporters of privatization in the media.
